Biography
One of the most sought-after musicians in the Northeast, Derrick M. Roberts II is a professional saxophonist known for delivering smooth, tranquil contemporary jazz, R&B, and gospel to audiences across the country.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Derrick began his musical journey at his home church, guided by his mother, Glinda Roberts, a musical savant and choir director. For over a decade, he has captivated audiences with exhilarating performances that blend technical mastery with heartfelt expression.

In addition to his musical talents, Derrick is a licensed mental health therapist and a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the Graduate Institute for Professional Psychology. He is currently a Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School further advancing his commitment to integrated, culturally responsive care.

Derrick is also the creator and host of Pieces of Me: A Mental Health Music & Arts Showcase, an innovative experience that bridges music, mental wellness, and community healing. His passions for mental health, social justice, and music converge in his belief that music has the power to heal the most vulnerable parts of our being.
